We had started...

I hate having the credit card debt. We had started snowballing our debt and had paid off a few things, but then we needed to save as much as possible to pay for fees and permits to put a modular on land. With the economy the way it is right now, it scares me a little, even to have the $5000 worth of credit card debt we have now. We have decided that cash will be king this Christmas. We have 3 kids and each will have $100 spent on them. The little ones don't even notice and we've explained it to our 10 year old. I am trying to get them as much as I can on clearance and sales. Other family members will get homemade gifts and cookies and candy.

After the new year, we will be have quite a bit extra. According to my excel spreadsheet we would have over $400 to put either in savings or on credit. I vote for the latter. With our income tax we would like to pay off all our remaining credit card balances. Then we will just be left with a mortgage of $720 a month, a $280 van payment and a student loan that is currently in deferment. I can't wait to get out from under the debt!!!

Lisette
http://couponqueenofcorning.blogspot.com/

Sometimes, I get so sick of it, I find myself fall...

Sometimes, I get so sick of it, I find myself falling into old, bad patterns of behavior.
